No88 Kitchen & Bar - John & Karen Arellano

"Family is at the heart of everything that we do".

Head Chef and co-Director of No88 John Arellano, originally from the Philippines, recalls, "I grew up enjoying a diet filled with seafood and hand-picked vegetables and fruits. The kitchen was the heart of our home, filled with the sounds of my Mum and Dad cooking, laughing, and enjoying family meals with us—precious memories that remain with me. The simple and fresh local ingredients, lovingly prepared during my childhood, continue to influence my cooking today."

Locally brewed

Enjoy our range of locally brewed Lerwick Brewery Beer. We stock a range of products including the award winning IPA, 60 Degrees & Tushkar. Look out for the limited edition Up Helly Aa Beer in January. We also stock Birra Mortti & Tennants as well a Lost Orchard Scottish Cider.

Carefully selected

Our menu offers a variety dishes and we have carefully selected an amazing range of wines to compliment your menu choices. For example our crisp, aromatic Albarino pairs exceptionally well with our Seafood dishes and our Rioja with its lovely balance of fruitiness & earthy spicy notes is exceptional with our Trio of Lamb.

Gin

Locally distilled

We stock a wide range of award winning Shetland Reel Gin from their distillery on the Island of Unst. Each Gin is thoughtfully crafted taking inspiration from the Islands.

Whisky

Selection

We are delighted to be able to offer you Whisky from Lerwick Distillery, the UK's most northern Whisky distillery.We also invite you to explore our different ranges of Whisky, perhaps a light, delicate & subtle Lowland, a Highland with its bold, spicy & full-bodied varieties, or an island Whisky from Orkney, Islay, Jura & Skye.
